Solutions · Accounts Receivable & Collections

Your collections workflow runs every day. Is it the right one?

Collections strategies are built from many small decisions. Each affects how quickly cash arrives. BIX is being designed to test those decisions — and quantify what better ones could be worth.

Decisions under the surface

The questions your automation never asks.

These are the kinds of decisions BIX is designed to examine. Most were set once, during configuration, and have not been tested since.

Timing

When should each reminder go out?

Before the due date, on it, or after? The best cadence often differs by customer segment and invoice size.

Prioritisation

Which accounts deserve attention first?

Collector time is finite. Prioritising by value, risk and likelihood to respond can change outcomes materially.

Channel

Email, call or letter?

Each channel has a different cost and response pattern. The right mix depends on who you are contacting and when.

Escalation

When should a case escalate?

Escalating too early harms relationships. Escalating too late ties up cash. The threshold is a strategic choice.

Disputes

How quickly are disputes resolved?

Unresolved disputes stall payment while reminders continue. Routing and resolution order matter.

Terms

Do payment terms fit behaviour?

Terms and incentives shape when customers pay. Their effect can be simulated before they are renegotiated.

Measured in finance terms

Impact you can put on a balance sheet.

Collections improvements translate directly into working capital and financing costs. That makes them measurable — and accountable.

See the arithmetic in the simulator
  • DSO

    Days Sales Outstanding

How long, on average, it takes to turn credit sales into cash. Every day carries a working capital cost of roughly annual credit sales ÷ 365.

  • WC

    Working capital released

A one-time balance-sheet improvement when receivables fall — cash that can be redeployed or used to reduce borrowing.

  • FIN

    Financing benefit

The recurring annual value of released working capital at your cost of financing.

  • OPS

    Operational effort

Better targeting can mean fewer unnecessary contacts — less collector time and less friction for customers who would have paid anyway.

Who it's for

For the people accountable for cash.

CFOs & Finance Directors

Understand how much working capital your current collections strategy may be leaving on the table — with assumptions you can scrutinise.

Heads of AR & Credit

Test strategy changes before rolling them out, and show the measured effect afterwards.

Shared services & automation leaders

Make sure the workflows you automate are worth automating — and keep improving them once they're live.
